The Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (K.U.Leuven) and the Universiteit Gent (UGent) organize jointly the InterUniversity Programme Master of Science in Food Technology (IUPFOOD). IUPFOOD offers two years of academic education, leading to a MSc degree 'Master of Science in Food Technology'

Ghent University is the E.U. lead institution of a EU–US Consortium, with partners at Karl Franzens University, Graz, Austria; and the National Polytechnic Institute of Toulouse, France. The American partners are University of Arkansas, Iowa State University and Kansas State University. An important objective of the consortium is to facilitate master students and staff mobility for transatlantic study in the area of biomaterial production and utilization.
