Veg-i-Trade is a success story

The European Commission selected the Veg-i-Trade project as a success story. Established in 2010 and planned to run for four years, VEG-I-TRADE is a groundbreaking project, funded by the EU under its 7th Framework Programme, with the specific aim of providing reliable methods to assess the impacts of climate change and globalisation on food safety, and to develop response mechanisms to eliminate or minimise the resulting risks.
Symposium : Challenges and perspectives on school-based obesity prevention programmes in low- and middle-income countries.

This symposium takes place on Friday May 24th, 2013 and aims to increase our understanding of the impact of obesity prevention interventions targeted at changing both diet and physical activity among school-going adolescents in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). Roosmarijn Verstraeten (nutriFOODchem) is chair of this symposium that is part of the International Society of Behavioral Nutrition and Physical Activity 2013 Annual Meeting.
